Tuning Li+ and Na+ Functionality in Renewable Carbon Electroactive Material Through Site‐Specific Nanostructural Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a selective thermal transformation of polycarbonate into hybrid carbon materials. The structured carbon enhances electrochemical performance, particularly in lithium‐ion systems. Investigations reveal improved bimetallic ion diffusivity through the hybrid microstructure, contributing to excellent charge kinetics.

Scalable Electrochemical Concrete Fabrication and Closed‐Loop Recycling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The electrochemical‐driven recycling strategy establishes a reversible concrete material flow by extracting Ca, Si, Al, and Fe from concrete waste and regenerating functional feedstocks. These reversed products are reassembled into new concrete, which re‐enters service and ultimately returns to waste, enabling a closed‐loop, waste‐origin, and low ...

Price is a Better Climate Commitment [PDF]

open access: yes
Developing countries justifiably reject meaningful emission targets. This prevents the Kyoto Protocol from establishing a global price for greenhouse gas emissions, and leaves almost all new emissions unpriced.
