Nitrogen controls on plant carbon-use efficiency
Nitrogen (N) is essential for plant growth and might progressively limit the fertilization effect of elevated atmospheric CO2 (eCO2), which affects predictions of future land carbon (C) uptake and storage. Within the present thesis, I develop a dynamic N acquisition model that allows plants to actively invest C into different symbiotic N acquisition ...

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

The Impact of Government Policy on Private Car Ownership in Ireland [PDF]
We construct a model of the stock of private cars in the Republic of Ireland. The model distinguishes cars by fuel, engine size and age. The modelled car stock is built up from a long history of data on sales, and calibrated to recent data on actual ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries
