Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. The analysis reveals how late‐stage transport control emerges

Trace Ru‐Doped PtCuRu@PtRu Core‐Shell Electrocatalyst for CO‐Resilient Methanol Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We engineered a trace Ru‐doped PtCuRu@PtRu core‐shell nanostructure. This design exploits lattice mismatch‐induced compressive strain between the PtCuRu ternary core and trace Ru‐doped Pt‐rich shell, systematically downshifting the Pt d‐band center to weaken *CO adsorption energetics.

Identification of Silicate and Carbonaceous Presolar Grains in the type 3 Enstatite Chondrites

open access: yesIdentification of Silicate and Carbonaceous Presolar Grains in the type 3 Enstatite Chondrites
We surveyed presolar grains in primitive enstatite chondrites by isotopography using the HokuDai isotope microscope system. The mineral identification has been conducted by X-ray analysis with scanning electron microscopy. The chemical compositions are determined for eight silicate and ten carbonaceous presolar grains.

NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

An Embodied Paper‐Based Microfluidic Al‐Air Battery for Enduring Untethered Insect‐Scale Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a centimeter‐scale microfluidic aluminum–air battery (MFAAB) with dual‐surface anode and F−‐mediated byproduct decomposition. The design enables a high capacity of 2697.05 mAh/g Al and delivers tens of milliwatts to power LEDs, motors, and a toy car.
