The passivation of iron in ammoniacal solutions containing copper (II) ions
In the present study it was found that the presence of millimolar amounts of copper (II) ions in ammoniacal solutions leads to the spontaneous formation of a stable passive layer on metallic iron and iron alloys with nickel and cobalt, under conditions ...

All‐Flex Plasma Patch for In Vivo Delivery of Reactive Species
A fully flexible plasma patch enables stable, conformal treatment on complex biological surfaces and enhances transdermal delivery of reactive species. This platform achieves significant tumor suppression in vivo and reveals coordinated regulation of calcium signaling, metabolism, and programmed cell death, providing a promising strategy for safe and ...

The Formation of Cu(II) Complexes with Carbonate and Bicarbonate Ions in NaClO4 Solutions
The inorganic behavior of most divalent metals in natural waters is affected by the formation of carbonate complexes. The acidification of the oceans will lower the carbonate concentration in the oceans.

The CuAg@MSN catalyst developed in this study promotes C─C coupling by regulating the coverage of *CO intermediates through spatial confinement effects, significantly enhancing the selectivity of CO2 electroreduction for C2 product formation. ABSTRACT Tandem catalysts represent a promising paradigm for synergistic electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2RR ...

Determining detection limits of aqueous anions using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
Background Pulsed amperometric detection is a relatively new method for detection of ions and especially non-electrolytes such as carbohydrates in aqueous solutions. Pulsed amperometric detection relies on a redox reaction while electrochemical impedance

Surface‐charged N‐CQDs serve as both electrolyte additives and photocathode modifiers. Electrodeposited N‐CQDs on Cu2O form a stable composite, steering 4e− ORR toward water. A quasi‐solid electrolyte with N‐CQDs aids charge migration, electrode‐electrolyte interfacial compatibility and replenishes active sites.

Biotic and Abiotic Controls on Calcium Carbonate Formation in Soils [PDF]
Over half of the carbon (C) taking part in the global C cycle is held in terrestrial systems. Because of the sensitivity of the C cycle to changes in such soil-based pools of carbon, it is important to understand the basic mechanisms by which soil C is

The KIF6‐RBP Complex Orchestrates mRNA Transport Required for Sperm Flagellar Assembly
Two homozygous deleterious KIF6 variants are identified in unrelated men with impaired sperm motility. Mouse models and multi‐omics analyses reveal that KIF6 cooperates with the RNA‐binding proteins FMRP and FXR1 to deliver mRNAs essential for sperm flagellar assembly, linking disrupted mRNA transport to reduced abundance of key structural and ...

Studies of Bicarbonate Binding by Dinuclear and Mononuclear Ni(II) Complexes
Bicarbonate ion reacts with the dinuclear nickel(II) complex containing the taec ligand (taec = N,N‘,N‘ ‘,N‘ ‘‘-tetrakis(2-aminoethyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) in buffered aqueous solution to form the μ-η2,η2-carbonate complex with a large ...
