ENVIRONMENTS AND FAUNAL PATTERNS IN THE KACHCHH RIFT BASIN, WESTERN INDIA, DURING THE JURASSIC

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2004
Marine Jurassic sediments (Bajocian-Tithonian) of the Kachchh Basin were deposited in a ramp setting. Except during the Middle and Late Bathonian, when a carbonate regime became established, the fill of the basin consists predominantly of siliciclastics.

Scalable Polyelectrolyte Complex‐Based Sorbent With Hourly Sorption−Desorption Cycles for Multicyclic Atmospheric Water Harvesting in Arid Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A polyelectrolyte complex‐based sorbent is produced by scalable, environmentally benign aqueous phase inversion. Its porous, LiCl‐ and GO‐integrated architecture enables hourly adsorption−desorption cycles at low relative humidity (RH < 30%). A large‐scale prototype achieves multicyclic, solar‐driven atmospheric water harvesting of 1.37 L kg−1 day−1 ...

TRANSPORTED RHODOLITHS WITNESS THE LOST CARBONATE FACTORY: A CASE HISTORY FROM THE MIOCENE PIETRA DA CANTONI LIMESTONE (NW ITALY)

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2015
Inner-platform bioclasts may have a remarkable preservation potential when transported toward deeper and quieter basin environments. Rhodoliths can bind skeletal grains during their growth, thereby storing information on their native environment even ...

Uncertainty assessment in the stratigraphic well correlation of a carbonate ramp: Method and application to the Beausset Basin, SE France

open access: yes, 2016
We assess stratigraphic correlation uncertainties by stochastically generating several possible correlations lines between a set of stratigraphic logs.

South Atlantic continental margins of Africa: a comparison of the tectonic vs climate interplay on the evolution of equatorial west Africa and SW Africa margins

open access: yes, 2005
The comparative review of 2 representative segments of Africa continental margin: the equatorial western Africa and the SW Africa margins, helps in analysing the main controlling factors on their development.

High Energy Density Asymmetric Aqueous Supercapacitor Based on a 2D Manganese Carbide as a Positive Electrode

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A circular route, involving upcycling of waste surgical masks, affords a Mn‐based layered carbide with porosity, redox activity and low work function. These features enable its effective operation as positive supercapacitor electrode in an aqueous asymmetric supercapacitor delivering 213 Wh L−1 energy density.

Microfacies, Depositional environment and Sequence Stratigraphy of Upper Carboniferous- Lower Permian rocks from Ozbak-Kuh region (Zaladou Section), East Central Iran [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stratigraphy and Sedimentology Researches, 2016
Zaladou section is located in Ozbak-Kuh mountains in the nourthen part of Tabas block and consist of shale, limy sandstone, limestone and dolomite. Continous relationship of Upper Carboniferous and Lower Permian deposits, is quite evident in Zaladou ...

Depositional History of the St. Joe and Boone Formations in Northern Arkansas [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The Kinderhookian-Osagean (Lower Mississippian) St. Joe and Boone Limestone represent an unconformity bounded transgressive-regressive sequence widely distributed throughout the southern midcontinent.

Mechanically Stable and Tunable Photoactivated Peptide‐Based Hydrogels for Soft Tissue Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A collagen‐like peptide hydrogel platform is developed using supramolecular self‐assembly and light‐triggered crosslinking. It creates mechanically stable, tunable hydrogels with cytocompatibility and biodegradability, making them potential soft tissue adhesives.
