Prestressed Carbon Strands Utilized in Repair of Football Stadium Ramp
SP-245: Case Histories and Use of FRP for Prestressing Applications, 2007This paper describes how prestressed concrete planks that use carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) tendons were used to replace badly deteriorated hollow core planks for the access ramp of the University of Wyoming football stadium. The test program for the planks is described in the paper and this is followed by the issues associated with the ...

Nucleation Curve of Carbon Dioxide Hydrate from a Linear Cooling Ramp Method
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2019Formation of gas hydrate is a first-order phase transition that starts with nucleation. Understanding of nucleation is of interest to many in chemical and petroleum industries, as nucleation, while beneficial in many chemical processes, is detrimental in flow assurance of oil and natural gas pipelines.

Storm deposition on a Silurian prograding carbonate ramp, Slite Beds, Gotland
GFF, 1997Abstract A drill core penetrating the major part of the Wenlockian Slite Beds on Gotland encountered a prograding carbonate ramp. The depositional environment was affected by storm processes represented by tempestites. These increase in thickness and complexity upwards through the sequence, culminating with amalgamated beds in the upper part.

Upper Jurassic Ramp Carbonate and Associated Evaporite, Neuquen Province, Argentina: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1986The Oxfordian La Manga Limestone (10-65 m) and overlying Auquilco Gypsum (315 m maximum thickness) crop out along the west flank of the Neuquen basin, Neuquen Province, Argentina (36/sup 0/40/sup 0/S lat.). The contact with the underlying Lotena Sandstone is gradational, and both formations are cut by the Late Jurassic Araucanian angular unconformity ...
