Strontium isotope compositions of river waters as records of lithology-dependent mass transfers : the Garonne river and its tributaries (SW France) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The relation of lithology in the drainage basin to the dissolved load of the Garonne river and its main tributaries, in southwestern France, was evaluated by determining 87Sr/86Sr ratios, and concentrations of major and trace elements during a 2-year ...

Halophilic Archaea Mediate the Formation of Proto-Dolomite in Solutions With Various Sulfate Concentrations and Salinities

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2019
In the past several decades, sulfate concentration and salinity have been considered to be the two essential hydrochemical factors in the formation of dolomite, yet arguments against this hypothesis have existed simultaneously.

Identification and characterization of microfractures in carbonate samples

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2022
Based on the rock typing method of pore geometry and structure (PGS), rock samples from carbonate reservoir A and carbonate reservoir B were classified using data of routine and special core analysis and thin section images, and microfractures in the ...

Distribution of Carbonate Reservoir Using Amplitude Versus Azimuth (Avaz) of 3d Seismic Data "Swz" Field of Tuban Formation, East Java, Indonesia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Seismic response of a medium depends on many factor one of them is porosity and saturation. There are seismic amplitude dependent offset changes within the same lithology when the different pore fluid types and saturations are introduced.

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.
