Paleokarstic water tables and their control on reservoirs in Ordovician Yingshan Formation, Tazhong Area, Tarim Basin, NW China

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2018
Based on cores, well logging and karstic paleogeomorphology, the identification method of multi-period paleokarstic water tables and their distribution and control on reservoirs were researched of Yingshan Formation in Tazhong Area, Tarim Basin.

The skeletal carbonate contribution to mixed terrigenous-carbonate sediments on the temperate northeastern Northland continental shelf, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The northeastern Northland continental shelf (NNCS) includes the coastal, shelf and uppermost slope seafloor out to depths of 210 m and over a distance of 150 km between North Cape and Ngurauru Bay slightly north of Whangarei. The nature of the surficial

Monolithic 3D‐Integrated All‐Solid Ion‐Gated Carbon Nanotube Transistors With Tunable Ionic Conductance for Multi‐Timescale Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐timescale reservoir based on monolithically 3D (M3D)‐integrated CNT solid ion‐gated transistors is demonstrated. Tunable ionic dynamics and pulse‐engineered operation enable linear and symmetric synaptic updates. The M3D‐integrated array achieves robust temporal encoding and accurate classification of moving MNIST sequences, highlighting its ...

Waterflood assessment in carbonate reservoirs

open access: yes
Most of the world's hydrocarbon reserves are found in carbonate rocks. Carbonate fractured reservoirs are extremely heterogeneous and difficult to study.

High‐Entropy Ceramic‐Enhanced Deformable Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Noncontact Biomechanical and Raindrop Energy Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A large‐area, deformable high‐entropy‐ceramic (HEC)‐doped triboelectric nanogenerator with a trilayer architecture is developed, consisting of an HEC‐doped triboelectric layer, a graphite‐like textile charge‐storage layer, and stretchable carbon black electrodes.

Formation and preservation of pores in deep limestone reservoirs: A case study of Upper Permian Changxing Formation, central Sichuan Basin, SW China

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development
In recent years, drilling data from wells Pengshen 10, Heshen 9, Tongshen 17 and Zhengyang 1 in the Sichuan Basin have confirmed the presence of a set of porous reef-beach limestone reservoirs in the Upper Permian Changxing Formation, which breaks the ...

Subsurface impact of CO2: Response of carbonate rocks and wellbore cement to supercritical CO2 injection and long-term storage. Geologica Ultraiectina (310) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Capture of CO2 at fossil fuel power station coupled with geological storage in empty oil and gas reservoirs is widely viewed as the most promising option for reducing CO2 emissions to the atmosphere, i.e. for climate change mitigation.

Ferrous Pyrophosphate Hollow Nanorods Enable Lithium Metal Batteries Under Low Negative/Positive Capacity Ratios

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
N‐doped carbon‐coated ferrous pyrophosphate (Fe2P2O7@NC) hollow nanorods are rationally synthesized through a self‐template method. The Fe2P2O7@NC hollow nanorods facilitate uniform Li deposition as a Li host by generating LiF on the electrode/electrolyte interface, and form Li2O in the bulk phase of the electrode.
