Mineral Deposition From Liquid Precursors Triggered by Complementary Polyelectrolytes
Polyelectrolyte additives can delay or prevent crystal nucleation in supersaturated solutions of insoluble mineral salts such as calcium carbonate. This work reports that adding a second, oppositely‐charged polyelectrolyte leads to immediate mineral crystallization from such metastable solutions.

Grain boundaries (GBs) in polycrystalline materials often block charge transport and drive degradation. Using Gd‐doped CeO2 as a model electrolyte used in fuel/electrolysis cells, we developed a core‐shell infiltration method to selectively modify GB chemistry and space charge potential, achieving orders‐of‐magnitude ionic conductivity changes.

InfraRed NDT for cured prepreg carbon specimens
Prepreg laminated composite plates with Teflon inserts and sandwich panel with damaged Coremat were subjected to InfraRed Non-Destructive Testing. Every sample was recorded by means of reflected thermography and raw data were processed by various algorithms: Thermal Signal Reconstruction, Fast Fourier Transformation and Principal Component Analysis.
