Parasitic copepods of Carcharhinidae and Sphyridae (Elasmobranchia) from the Atlantic Ocean
Journal of Natural History, 1991Seventy-four sharks of the families Carcharhinidae and Sphyridae, mainly from the central Atlantic Ocean, were examined. Fourteen species of Copepoda were found on them. Prionace glauca and Sphyrna zygaena are new hosts for the copepod Pandarus floridanus.

Mitochondrial genome of the bull sharkCarcharhinus leucas(Carcharhiniformes: Carcharhinidae)
Mitochondrial DNA, 2014The bull shark Carcharhinus leucas is a large elasmobranch species widespread in tropical and warm oceans, rivers and lakes. We first determine the complete mitogenome of C. leucas in this article. It is 16,704 bp in length, consists 37 genes and one control region with the typical gene order in vertebrates. The ND6 gene used the rare AGG as stop codon.
