Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014
The complete mitochondrial genome of Carcharhinus macloti was determined in this study. It is 16,701 bp in length and contains 37 genes with the typical gene order and transcriptional orientation in vertebrates. A total of 29 bp overlaps and 29 bp short intergenic spaces located in 22 gene junctions. The overall base composition is 31.6% A, 26.2% C, 13.

Mitochondrial genome of the spot-tail sharkCarcharhinus sorrah(Carcharhiniformes: Carcharhinidae)
Mitochondrial DNA, 2014In this article, we first presented the complete mitogenome of the spot-tail shark Carcharhinus sorrah, which is a medium-sized shark distributed in the tropical Indo-Pacific and is currently listed as "Near Threatened" on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. The complete mitogenome of C. sorrah is 16,707 bp in length and

AbstractThe presence of claspers is one of the main characteristics of the cartilaginous fishes, but its variations across taxa have received limited use in shark systematics and have generally been neglected in descriptions of species. Clasper descriptions are available only for a few catshark species and most of these are focused only in external ...
