Bronchial Carcinoid Tumors

Bronchial carcinoid tumors, termed (incorrectly) "bronchial adenomas" in the past, are uncommon pulmonary neoplasms. These tumors are currently classified as neuroendocrine in origin because of their potential to form and sometimes secrete a variety of chemical substances.

Carcinoid tumors of the rectum

Abstract The histopathologic and clinical manifestations of carcinoid tumors of the rectum have been reviewed. The asymptomatic and benign character of the lesion is stressed. One new case in which there were no symptoms or apparent metastasis is reported. The patient is well four years after removal of the tumor.
