Adenoid cystic carcinoma: emerging role of translocations and gene fusions. [PDF]
Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC), the second most common salivary gland malignancy, is notorious for poor prognosis, which reflects the propensity of ACC to progress to clinically advanced metastatic disease.

Advanced Basal Cell Carcinoma: Epidemiology and Therapeutic Innovations
Advanced basal cell carcinomas are a subset of basal cell carcinomas that can be difficult to treat either due to their local invasiveness, proximity to vital structures, or metastasis.

Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

DERMOSCOPIC DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA IN DIFFERENT MORPHOLOGICAL TYPES OF BASALIOMA
Background: Basal cell carcinoma of the skin (BCC, basalioma) is one of the most common malignant skin tumors. Dermoscopy is the most available today method of non-invasive diagnosis of skin tumors.

Loss of the tumor suppressor, Tp53, enhances the androgen receptor-mediated oncogenic transformation and tumor development in the mouse prostate. [PDF]
Recent genome analysis of human prostate cancers demonstrated that both AR gene amplification and TP53 mutation are among the most frequently observed alterations in advanced prostate cancer. However, the biological role of these dual genetic alterations

Prognostic significance of serine-phosphorylated STAT3 expression in pT1-T2 oral tongue carcinoma [PDF]
Objectives. Phosphorylated (activated) STAT3 (pSTAT3) is a regulator of numerous genes that play an essential part in the onset, development and progression of cancer; it is involved in cell proliferation and preventing apoptosis, and in invasion ...

The dermatoscopic universe of basal cell carcinoma
Following the first descriptions of the dermatoscopic pattern of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) that go back to the very early years of dermatoscopy, the list of dermatoscopic criteria associated with BCC has been several times updated and renewed.

In luminal (ER+) breast carcinoma (BC), miRNA profiling identified miR‐195‐5p as a key regulator of proliferation that targets CHEK1, CDC25A, and CCNE1. High CHEK1 expression correlates with worse relapse‐free survival after chemotherapy, especially in patients with luminal A subtype.

In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.
