Thermoradiotherapy with Hydralazine: The Effect of Preirradiation of the Tumor Bed on Blood Flow and Growth Delay of Ehrlich Carcinoma

Radiation Research, 1999
Ehrlich carcinoma transplanted into preirradiated calf muscle of mice was used as a model for tumor recurrence after unsuccessful radiotherapy. Due to the tumor bed effect (TBE), these grafts grew more slowly than control tumors implanted in the unirradiated tissue.

Anti-tumor efficacy of glutaminase–copper–ATP combination in mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma

Anti-Cancer Drugs, 1994
Glutaminase is a hematotoxic anti-tumor agent, and copper-ATP complex (Cu-ATP) is both anti-neoplastic and hematostimulatory. Combination chemotherapy with these two agents has been performed in mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma, to elucidate whether this could result in augmented tumor inhibition with reduced hematotoxicity.

Anti-Tumor Activity of Ovothiol-A Against Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma in Mice

Current Chemical Biology
Introduction: Cancer is the second most common cause of death worldwide. Ovothiol-A is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound found in nature. The purpose of the current study is to examine Ovothiol-A's ability to protect against Ehrlich Ascites Cancer (EAC).

Metabolic changes of lymphocytes and neoplastic cells in mice with Ehrlich ascites carcinoma during tumor growth

Biology Bulletin, 2007
Changes in the activities of NAD+- and NADP-dependent dehydrogenases of lymphocytes and tumor cells were studied in mice with Ehrlich ascites carcinoma, as well as changes in the concentrations of oxaloacetate, lactate, and NAD+ in the course of tumor growth.

Ursolic acid inhibits tumor angiogenesis and induces apoptosis through mitochondrial-dependent pathway in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma tumor

Chemico-Biological Interactions, 2013
Ursolic acid (UA) is a pentacyclic triterpene naturally occurring in many plant foods. In the present study, we investigated anti-cancer activity of UA in vivo in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) tumor. 15 × 10(6) EAC cells were implanted intraperitoneally (i.p., ascitic tumor) and subcutaneous (s.c., solid tumor) in Swiss albino mice.

[Laser-induced fluorescence diagnosis of tumors exemplified by solid Ehrlich carcinoma].

Archiv fur Geschwulstforschung, 1990
The laser-induced fluorescence of hematoporphyrin derivative (HpD) sensitized experimental Ehrlich carcinoma on mice is investigated. The fluorescence is excited with the 364-nm argon laser line. The tumor fluorescence spectra are recorded in the red spectral region.

[Role of tumor-associated macrophages in the regulation of protein biosynthesis in Ehrlich carcinoma cells].

Voprosy onkologii, 2011
The paper discusses the role of peritoneal macrophages in uptake and metabolic degradation of high-density proteins of lipoproteins in mice with Ehrlich ascites carcinoma. These processes were found to be influenced by cortisol. Distinctions in spectra of endocellular proteins in tumor-associated macrophages and peritoneal ones in intact mice were ...

Evaluation of anti-tumor efficacy of injectable Centchroman in mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma.

Indian journal of physiology and pharmacology, 1999
Anti-tumor efficacy of Centchroman formulated as niosomes and gel implant was evaluated in Swiss albino mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma at 10 mg/kg body weight dose given subcutaneously. Median day of death, percentage increase in host life span and changes in body weight were studied.
