Molecular drivers of lobular carcinoma in situ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) is considered to be a risk factor for the development of invasive breast carcinoma, but it may also be a non-obligate precursor to invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC).

Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer as a Distinct Disease: Implications for Therapeutic Strategy

open access: yesOncology and Therapy, 2019
Invasive lobular carcinoma comprises 10–15% of all breast cancers and is increasingly recognised as a distinct and understudied disease compared with the predominant histological subtype, invasive ductal carcinoma. Hallmarks of invasive lobular carcinoma

Pathology of atypical lobular hyperplasia and lobular carcinoma in situ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The term lobular neoplasia refers to a spectrum of lesions featuring atypical lobular hyperplasia and lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS). The histopathological characteristics of these lesions are well documented.

Rab1A Promotes Hepatic Steatosis by Suppressing Mitophagy via the Raf‐1/ERK1/2/PINK1 Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Why does fat accumulate in the liver? Our study reveals Rab1A as the molecular switch that silences the cell's mitochondrial cleanup crew. Turning Rab1A off reactivates mitophagy, clears excess fat, and reverses fatty liver disease in mice—offering a promising new therapeutic target for MASLD, a growing global health challenge.

Bioengineered Exosome‐Loaded Immunomodulatory Bioadhesive Spray Reverses Liver Fibrosis and Metabolic Dysfunction That Triggers Beneficial Gut‐Liver Crosstalk in Chronic Fatty Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Umbilical cord stem cell‐derived exosomes encapsulated in an immunomodulatory bioadhesive hydrogel spray enable localized therapy, sustained vesicle delivery, macrophage polarization, suppress systemic inflammation, and mitigate glucose and insulin homeostasis impairments in MAFLD.

Gut‐Liver Translocation of Bacteroides Uniformis Alleviates Advanced Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease by Suppressing Hepatocyte Ferroptosis via Propionic Acid Secretion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Systematic characterization of the liver‐resident microbiota in advanced metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) reveals a consistent depletion of Bacteroides uniformis (B. uniformis) in both hepatic and gut microbial communities. Oral gavage of B.

Discrimination of invasive ductal and lobular carcinoma of the breast based on the combination of enhanced Legendre polynomial, kinetic features and deep learning features [PDF]

open access: yes
The fifth most common cause of cancer-related deaths among women worldwide is breast cancer, which is the most common cancer among women globally. Early detection of breast cancer through regular screenings and awareness of symptoms can lead to better ...

SemanticST: A Scalable Multi‐Contextual Graph Learning Framework for Uncovering Spatial Niches and Robust Multi‐Sample Integration in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Technical limitations often let dominant signals overshadow rare cell types and fine‐grained heterogeneity in spatial transcriptomics. SemanticST, a graph neural network using multi‐semantic graph fusion and a novel min‐cut loss, recovers these subtle patterns.

Case Report: Ductal Carcinoma in Situ Within A Granulomatous Mastitis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Breast Health, 2018
Granulomatous lobular mastitis is a rare chronic breast disease, firstly described by Kessler and Wolloch in 1972. In this article we present a 35-yearold patient with granulomatous lobular mastitis and in situ ductal carcinoma and discuss ...
