Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the thymus is a rare carcinoma and there is little agreement about the treatment of this tumor. According to the analysis of previously reported tumors, biologic behavior of the tumor correlated with the spread of the lesion and degree of differentiation. We report a case of this tumor in a 31-year-old man.

Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma of the Conjunctiva

A 73-year-old man had a limbal nodule that, on histopathologic examination, proved to be mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the conjunctiva. Despite radiation therapy and extensive corneoscleral lamellar resection, widespread invasion of the lids and orbit ultimately led to exenteration.

Bronchoscopy in a 4.5-year-old girl with recurrent pneumonia showed an exophytic endobronchial mass. Biopsy disclosed microscopic and ultrastructural features of a low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma. Complete cure was accomplished by surgical removal of the tumor and right lower lobe.

This first case of mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the liver to be reported was discovered in a 44-year-old man with an 8-month history of fever, vomiting, weight loss (15 kg.), and pain in the right hypochondrium. A right hemihepatectomy disclosed a 15 cm. tumor located above the gallbladder bed.
