Macroscopic Examination of Surgical Specimen of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Standardized pathology reporting of thyroid cancer is important for quality clinical management, research as well as education purposes. International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting (ICCR) has produced a Dataset for reporting carcinoma of thyroid.

Breast Tumours Resembling the Tall Cell Variant of Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma: Are They Part of the Papillary Carcinoma Spectrum or a Distinct Entity? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019

Proteomic and Postproteomic Characterization of Keratan Sulfate-Glycanated Isoforms of Thyroglobulin and Transferrin Uniquely Elaborated by Papillary Thyroid Carcinomas. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Previous studies have suggested that surface components of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) cells may be aberrantly glycanated, but the precise nature of these molecules has not been unveiled nor documented to be of clinical relevance.

Differentiated Papillary NUT Carcinoma: An Unexpected, Deceptively Bland Presentation of a Sinonasal Carcinoma. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
BACKGROUND In recent years, the list of tumor entities in the sinonasal tract has significantly expanded, requiring advanced diagnostic testing. We report the case of a 32-year-old patient with an unusual NUT carcinoma originating in the maxillary ...

Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma Follicular Variant: Which Surgical Approach? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In general, fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) is insufficient and inadequate in the diagnosis of follicular variant of thyroid papillary carcinoma. Especially in capsulated forms of the carcinoma, diagnostic difficulties are pronounced because of the ...

Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma: Clinical Significance and Detection by High-Resolution Melting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) can have a variety of implications for the progression and development of papillary thyroid carcinomas (PTCs). Identification of SNPs, either as germline variants or mutations occurring in tumor tissue, can thus ...

Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas in Children and Adolescents: Expert Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas (SPN) is a rare low‐grade malignant exocrine pancreatic tumor, mostly discovered during the second decade of life in females, with a very good prognosis, provided microscopically complete surgical excision is achieved.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Papillary carcinoma in cervical cyst: primary tumor or metastasis? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The cystic masses of the neck are usually benign lesions but they rarely may include malignancy or may be a metastasis of a carcinoma. Ectopic thyroid tissue is frequently seen on the tongue base, thyroglossal duct and around the thyroid gland itself ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
