Hemodynamic Significance of APEXCT Coronary Angiography Combined With Dynamic CT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging in Assessing Restenosis After Coronary Stenting

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the hemodynamic significance of in‐stent restenosis (ISR) by using a combined anatomical‐functional approach with photon‐counting CT coronary angiography (APEX‐CT CTA) and dynamic CT myocardial perfusion imaging (CT‐MPI). We prospectively enrolled 239 symptomatic patients at least 9 months after PCI.

Management of Absent Upper Esophageal Sphincter Opening After Neurological Injury

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This study evaluated the effects of swallowing therapy and cricopharyngeus (CP) muscle surgery on upper esophageal sphincter (UES) opening, oral intake, and airway protection in patients with absent UES opening following neurological injury. CP‐targeted surgeries were associated with improved bolus passage and oral intake, but persistent aspiration ...

The Application of Telemedicine in Surgery

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
This figure provides an overview of the content presented in this article. Telemedicine is integrated throughout the entire surgical workflow, with distinct applications across the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. These applications are enabled by a suite of supporting technologies, while the associated implementation challenges ...

Morphometric Assessment for Functional Evaluation of Coronary Stenosis With Intravascular Ultrasound and Ultrasonic Flow Ratio in Vessels With a Single Stenosis

open access: yesMedicine Advances, EarlyView.
This developed a morphometric assessment for functional evaluation of coronary stenosis with intravascular ultrasound and ultrasonic flow ratio in vessels with single stenosis; the results demonstrated ultrasonic flow ratio (UFR) has a good correlation with the Murray law‐based quantitative flow ratio (uQFR).
