Liver stiffness measurement for central venous pressure assessment. AUC, area under the curve; BMI, body mass index; CI, confidence interval; CVP, central venous pressure; HF, heart failure; LSM, liver stiffness measurement; LVEF, left ventricular ejection fraction. Abstract Aims Central venous pressure (CVP) is an important variable in assessing heart

In the PRIME‐MR study, patients with higher N‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP) tertiles more frequently reached death or heart failure hospitalization (HFH) within 3 years. Log‐transformed NT‐proBNP levels independently predicted the primary endpoint (adjusted hazard ratio 1.17, 95% confidence interval 1.07–1.28; p < 0.001).

Aims Bone morphogenetic protein 10 (BMP10), activin receptor‐like kinase 1 (ALK1) and endoglin form a single transforming growth factor‐β family signalling complex that is the principal driver of cardiac and vascular morphogenesis and maturation during hypoxic embryonic development. These proteins are down‐regulated with the onset of normoxia at birth,

Abstract Background Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) is a severe channelopathy that manifests before 18 months of age, primarily caused by pathogenic variants in the ATP1A3 gene. It is characterized by recurrent and disabling episodes of plegia, dystonia, dysautonomia, along with chronic neurological features and cardiac arrhythmias. About 50%
