Microvascular Coronary Artery Embolism Presenting as an OHCA STEMI Call Detected by CMR

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Case Reports in Internal Medicine, 2020
We describe a case of coronary artery embolism leading to an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in which the diagnosis was achieved with utilisation of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. The patient was otherwise well prior to this episode. Emergency

PET Imaging of Cardiac Inflammation in Viral Myocarditis Using a DPP4‐Targeted Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study describes a DPP4‐targeted PET probe for imaging myocardial inflammation by selectively targeting activated immune cells. Derived from the clinically approved small‐molecule inhibitor linagliptin, the probe demonstrates favorable biodistribution with specific cardiac uptake in myocarditis.

The AUTACE That Degrades KRAS and Engages CD8+ T Cells for the Treatment of KRAS/TP53 Co‐Mutant Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AUTACE is a bifunctional nanoplatform that integrates tumor targeting, immune engagement, and on‐demand KRAS degradation. It targets KRAS/TP53 co‐mutant tumors via TP53‐specific TCRs, elicits antitumor CD8+ T‐cell responses through surface anti‐CD3 antibodies, and uses low‐intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) to trigger controlled release of the KRAS ...

Multimodality Imaging in Apical Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: Can Echocardiography Learn from Cardiac Magnetic Resonance?

open access: yesDiagnostics
Apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a distinctive and often under-recognized variant of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, characterized by predominant thickening of the apical segments of the left ventricle.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in infiltrative cardiomyopathy

open access: yesJournal of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography & Cardiovascular Imaging, 2019
Infiltrative cardiomyopathies are a wide spectrum of disorders characterized by deposition of abnormal substances in the myocardium. These have a varied etiology and can be idiopathic, familial, or secondary to systemic disorders.

High Field Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation: Cardiovascular Imaging, 2017
For a new technology, high-field cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR; 3.0 T≤B≤7.0 T) has come a long way. Not only has the number of reports referencing clinical applications risen,1,2 but prices for 3.0T systems have dropped almost 50% since the beginning of the millennium, and operational and service costs are virtually identical to those of 1.5T ...

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging of primary cardiac tumors

open access: yesQuantitative Imaging in Medicine and Surgery, 2020
Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) offers superior advantages in cardiac imaging due to supplying a greater field of view, excellent soft-tissue imaging, and multiplanar imaging capabilities. CMR imaging can evaluate the characteristics of cardiac tumors by visualizing the relationship between the tumor and surrounding tissues, and plays a vital role in ...

Oral Bioinspired Peroxisome‐Engineered Probiotics for Modulating Gut Microbiota Homeostasis and Alleviating Cardiac Chemotherapy Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed an oral bioinspired peroxisome‐engineered probiotic (BPEP) by anchoring lipid‐encapsulated ruthenium nanozymes onto Escherichia coli Nissle 1917, utilizing probiotics to deliver nanozymes to the intestinal barrier for reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species elimination, tight junction restoration, and gut microbiota ...

Utility of Intracardiac Echocardiography to Diagnose Infective Endocarditis

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Medicine High Impact Case Reports, 2019
Infective endocarditis (IE) can lead to significant morbidity and mortality without appropriate treatment. Modified Duke Criteria are accepted by many professional societies to establish the diagnosis of IE, and cardiac imaging is one of the major ...
