Sudden cardiac death: an update
Sudden cardiac death (SCD) is a devastating and all too common result of both acquired and genetic heart diseases. The profound sadness endured by families is compounded by the risk many of these deaths confer upon surviving relatives.

Respiratory Signal Processing and Analysis Using Flexible Capacitive Sensor Data
Capacitive pressure sensors based on poly(glycerol sebacate) (PGS) substrates are developed for continuous, non‐invasive respiratory monitoring. Integrated with a signal processing algorithm, they enable accurate tracking of thoracic expansion and retraction.

Annexin A13 Protects Against Acute Kidney Injury by Inactivating TGF‐β/Smad3 Signaling
ANXA13 is negatively regulated by Smad3 and exerts its protective role in AKI by inactivating TGF‐β/Smad3 signaling and Smad3‐p21 cell cycle arrest pathway through binding to TβRI, inhibiting the interaction between TβRI and TβRII, thereby suppressing TβRI phosporylation.

Myocardial lipofuscin accumulation in ageing and sudden cardiac death
Lipofuscin is an intracellular aggregate of highly oxidized proteins that cannot be digested in the ubiquitin-proteasome system and accumulate mainly in lysosomes, especially in aged cells and pathological conditions.

NFS1 Regulates IDH2 to Attenuate Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms via Interacting With SP2
The loss of NFS1 leads to its reduced binding with the transcription factor SP2, resulting in decreased expression of the downstream gene Idh2. This causes a shift in energy supply toward glycolysis in VSMCs, ultimately contributing to the occurrence and progression of AAA.
