Machine learning for identifying liver and pancreas cancers through comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis: a case‐control study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.

Berberine–cinnamic acid co‐crystal effect in ameliorating hyperlipidemia might be regulated through the PI3K/AKT/mTOR/SREBP‐1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Berberine–cinnamic acid co‐crystal (BBR‐CA) inhibits the phosphorylation of the phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase (PI3K)/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, suppressing the transfer of pre‐sterol regulatory element‐binding proteins‐1 (SREBP‐1) from the endoplasmic reticulum to the nucleus. This results in a decrease in the expression level of

Ambulatory cardiac surgery [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Supplements, 2004
In order to move toward a program of reliable and routine ambulatory cardiac surgery there must be a paradigm change in the attitude of both patients and caregivers. The status quo must be abandoned and replaced by the pioneering attitude of the early practitioners who formed our specialty.
