Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Spatiotemporal Bayesian Regularization for Cardiac Strain Imaging: Simulation and
Cardiac strain imaging (CSI) plays a critical role in the detection of myocardial motion abnormalities. Displacement estimation is an important processing step to ensure the accuracy and precision of derived strain tensors.

Cardiac ultrasound simulation for autonomous ultrasound navigation. [PDF]
IntroductionUltrasound is well-established as an imaging modality for diagnostic and interventional purposes. However, the image quality varies with operator skills as acquiring and interpreting ultrasound images requires extensive training due to the imaging artefacts, the range of acquisition parameters and the variability of patient anatomies ...

Immunosuppressive Drug Use in Limited Systemic Sclerosis: An International Survey
Objective Current guidelines recommend immunosuppressive treatment for diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis but are less clear on their use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) in the absence of internal organ complications. We conducted an international survey to understand current immunosuppressive drug prescribing patterns in lcSSc ...

Anorectal Dysfunction in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Phenotypes and Functional Patterns
Objective The aim of this study was to characterize specific physiologic defects in anorectal dysfunction in systemic sclerosis (SSc) using anorectal manometry (ARM), evaluate associations with gastrointestinal (GI) and extraintestinal clinical phenotypes, and explore potential serologic markers for risk stratification.

Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is characterized by cardiovascular risk excess not fully explained by traditional factors. Whether the severity of microvascular damage correlates with structural subclinical atherosclerosis remains unclear. We investigated the relationship between nailfold videocapillaroscopy (NVC) abnormalities and carotid ...
