Cardinal characteristics and countable Borel equivalence relations
AbstractBoykin and Jackson recently introduced a property of countable Borel equivalence relations called Borel boundedness, which they showed is closely related to the union problem for hyperfinite equivalence relations. In this paper, we introduce a family of properties of countable Borel equivalence relations which correspond to combinatorial ...

Euler characteristic and homotopy cardinality
Baez asks whether the Euler characteristic (defined for spaces with finite homology) can be reconciled with the homotopy cardinality (defined for spaces with finite homotopy). We consider the smallest infinity category $\text{Top}^\text{rx}$ containing both these classes of spaces and closed under homotopy pushout squares.
