On the Effects of Code Cardinality for TH-PPM Ultra Wideband Systems

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2023
This paper demonstrates the effects of code cardinality at transmitter section on bit error rate (BER) performance of time hopping pulse position modulation (TH-PPM) based ultra wideband (UWB) indoor radio communication.

Cardinality estimation with local deep learning models

open access: yesaiDM@SIGMOD, 2019
Cardinality estimation is a fundamental task in database query processing and optimization. Unfortunately, the accuracy of traditional estimation techniques is poor resulting in non-optimal query execution plans.

Cardinality functions in allegories

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper we want to investigate three notions of the cardinality of relations in the context of allegories. Two of the three axiom systems are motivated on the existence of injective and surjective functions, respectively.

Detecting cardinality constraints in CNF [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
. We present novel approaches to detect cardinality constraints expressed in CNF. The first approach is based on a syntactic analysis of specific data structures used in SAT solvers to represent binary and ternary clauses, whereas the second approach is ...

Multi‐Dielectric Metasurfaces for Ultrabright, Tunable Structural Color and Reconfigurable Optical Filtering with Extraordinarily Large Color Span

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Structural color generation is an emerging field for digital display and printing applications. This report presents a novel truncated‐cone design and the first use of GaP sandwiched between two layers of TiO2, demonstrating ultra‐bright, tunable colors with a record color gamut.

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Horn cardinality rules

open access: yes, 2018
: "We address the problem of finding a 'tight' representation of Horn cardinality rules in a mixed integer programming model by describing a convex hull of it. A cardinality Horn rule asserts that if at least k of the propositions AΓéü,...,A[subscript m]

Extended Property-level k-vertex Cardinality Constraints Model for Graph Databases

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2023
Graph databases are nowadays considered the most appropriate solution for highly connected domains. Nevertheless, the lack of a fixed schema perplexes the implementation of business rules and inhibits the usage of graph database technology in practical ...

Integration of Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omics in Peach Fruit Unravels a Metabolic Niche and the Genetic Basis of Trichome‐Mediated Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

STABLY MEASURABLE CARDINALS [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2020
AbstractWe define a weak iterability notion that is sufficient for a number of arguments concerning $\Sigma _{1}$ -definability at uncountable regular cardinals. In particular we give its exact consistency strength first in terms of the second uniform indiscernible for bounded subsets of $\kappa $ : $u_2(\kappa )$ , and secondly to give the ...
