Introduction: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is defined by an increase in left ventricle wall thickness that is not solely explained by abnormal overload conditions. In up to 60% of the individuals the disease is transmitted as an autosomal dominant trait and is caused by cardiac sarcomere protein gene mutations.
