Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury is a serious problem involved in cardiovascular diseases. There data which indicate that some steroids induce cardioprotective effects on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury; however their activity and the molecular mechanism involved on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury are very confusing.
