Changing patterns of home visiting in general practice: an analysis of electronic medical records
Background In most European countries and North America the number of home visits carried out by GPs has been decreasing sharply. This has been influenced by non-medical factors such as mobility and pressures on time.

DIPOLE MOMENTS OF ANACARDIC ACID AND CARDOL
Dielectric constants of raw cashew shell liquid extracted from unroasted cashew shells have been investigated. The constituents of cashew shell liquid, anacardic acid and cardol, have been separated and their dielectric constants and dipole moments determined.

The blue–green light‐dependent state transition in the marine phytoplankton Ostreococcus tauri
Summary We explored the adaptive mechanisms of Ostreococcus tauri, a marine picophytoplankton with a ubiquitous ocean presence. We aimed to understand its photosynthetic acclimation, as featured in the cryo‐EM structure of its photosystem I (PSI) supercomplex.

SUMMARY Algae such as diatoms and haptophytes have distinct photosynthetic pigments from plants, including a novel set of carotenoids. This includes a primary xanthophyll cycle comprised of diadinoxanthin and its de‐epoxidation product diatoxanthin that enables the switch between light harvesting and non‐photochemical quenching (NPQ)‐mediated ...

Mitochondrial respiration is essential for photosynthesis‐dependent ATP supply of the plant cytosol
Summary Plants rely on solar energy to synthesize ATP and NADPH for photosynthetic carbon fixation and all cellular need. Mitochondrial respiration is essential in plants, but this may be due to heterotrophic bottlenecks during plant development or because it is also necessary in photosynthetically active cells.

Striking variations in consultation rates with general practice reveal family influence
Background The reasons why patients decide to consult a general practitioner vary enormously. While there may be individual reasons for this variation, the family context has a significant and unique influence upon the frequency of individuals' visits ...
