Animals, beaches, stars and spirits: A more-than-human approach to Caribbean ecologies
This Exploration highlights recent and emergent themes in the study of Caribbean ecologies across the social sciences and humanities. It draws particular attention to the field of black ecologies, which extends a longstanding engagement with the socio ...

Probing Near‐Field EM Fluctuations in Superparamagnetic CoFeB With NV Quantum Dephasometry
We non‐invasively investigate the superparamagnetic spin dynamics of a 1.1 nm CoFeB layer by probing its near‐field EM fluctuations using NV centers‐based quantum dephasometry. Our findings are further supported by theoretical modeling and SQUID‐based magnetization characterization. These results provide critical insight into the magnetization dynamics

Waveguide Geometry–Driven Trade‐Offs in Resonant Cavity Sensor Performance
Waveguide geometry governs the interplay between sensitivity, intrinsic Q‐factor, and wavelength noise in silicon nitride resonant sensors. Contrary to intuition, higher sensitivity does not ensure superior performance. Low‐noise, high‐Q ridge resonators achieve the lowest detection limits, revealing that detection is ultimately constrained by noise ...

Mode splitting in meta‐waveguide microring resonators (MWMRs) effectively suppresses baseline drift and measurement noise while maintaining high refractive‐index sensitivity. This reflection‐induced mode splitting strategy enables quantitative detection of ultra‐weak surface perturbations and establishes MWMRs as a robust, drift‐immune platform for ...
