Glucosinolates in the caricaceae

Phytochemistry, 1970
Abstract Five species of the family Caricaceae were examined for glucosinolates. Like Carica papaya L., they all contained benzylglucosinolate (I, R = C 6 H 5 CH 2 ) as the sole thioglucoside.

Knowledge of Student Study Service on Caricaceae in Their Neighborhoods

open access: yesNusantara Science and Technology Proceedings, 2022
Indonesia is one of the countries with abundant and diverse natural resources so that it is known as mega biodiversity. The high biodiversity in Indonesia is partly due to its geographic location as a tropical country. Meanwhile, plants belonging to the Caricaceae are one of the groups of plants that are very easy to find, affordable prices, and can be

Benzyl isothiocyanate in the caricaceae

Phytochemistry, 1972
Abstract GLC quantitation of benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC) in 1–2 macerated seeds of Caricaceae is described. In Carica and Jarilla genera, the content of this compound ranges from 1·37 to 1·96%. In seeds of Jacaratia , however, only 2–4 ppm of BITC was found.

Somatic embryogenesis in Jarilla heterophylla (Caricaceae)

Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (PCTOC), 2011
It is reported for the first time an efficient protocol for indirect somatic embryogenesis and plant regeneration for Jarilla heterophylla (Caricaceae). Initial explants were mature zygotic embryos obtained from seeds collected in two regions of the state of Jalisco, Mexico (San Luis Soyatlan and Zacoalco de Torres).

The Phylogeny of the Caricaceae

2013
The family Caricaceae comprises 35 species in currently 6 genera. Thirty-two species occur in Central and South America and two in Africa. The species occur in a wide range of tropical habitats, and growth forms range from rhizomatous herbs to tall trees. Most species are dioecious, with strictly male and female individuals.
