Evaluating the Performance and Repeatability of Poroelastic and Poroviscoelastic Models in Intrinsic MR Elastography

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 38, Issue 7, July 2025.
Poroelastic and poroviscoelastic property reconstruction is found to be feasible using intrinsic MR elastography. The poroviscoelastic model was found to be more suitable for intrinsic magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) elastography in the current implementation.

An overview of insulin therapy for the non‐specialist

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 27, Issue S5, Page 3-15, July 2025.
Abstract Nearly all health professionals, whatever their practice or speciality, now have contact with a significant number of insulin‐using people with diabetes. Effects of 4‐month treatment with glycocalyx dietary supplement on endothelial glycocalyx and vascular function after COVID‐19 infection

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, Volume 55, Issue 7, July 2025.
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of glycocalyx dietary supplement (GDS), containing glucosamine sulfate and fucoidan, on endothelial glycocalyx integrity and vascular function in subjects after mild‐to‐moderate COVID‐19 infection managed in an outpatient setting.

RNF213‐Dependent EGFR and HER2 Activation Regulates Specific Downstream Signaling Pathways in Human Cancer Cells

open access: yesGenes to Cells, Volume 30, Issue 4, July 2025.
RNF213, a unique E3 ligase, plays a pivotal role in modulating the phosphorylation of key residues on the receptor tyrosine kinases EGFR and HER2 in response to EGF or TGFα stimulation. This receptor activation then selectively enhances the phosphorylation of downstream signaling effectors Src and PLCγ, but not that of other canonical regulators such ...
