Abstract First, a brief description of the anatomy of the carpal navicular bone is presented with a discussion of the probable mechanism of fractures and the points in diagnosis. Second, a method of reduction and splinting of carpal fractures, which gives excellent results in conjunction with minimum disability, is suggested.
