Carpal Tunnel Syndrome with Wrist Trigger Caused by Hypertrophied Lumbrical Muscle and Tenosynovitis
We present a case of carpal tunnel syndrome involving wrist trigger caused by a hypertrophied lumbrical muscle with flexor synovitis. The case was a 40-year-old male heavy manual worker complaining of numbness and pain in the median nerve area. On active

The aim of our study was to develop a more accurate staging system for hereditary ATTR patients currently receiving specific treatment. A staging system was created using as criteria: GLS ≤ −11%, NT‐proBNP ≤ 2,000 ng/L, and eGFR ≤ 65 mL/min. We managed to accurately stratify patients into three disease stages, significantly different in terms of ...

Thermal Injury of the Motor Branch of Ulnar Nerve Following Electrocauterization of Ulnar Artery-A Rare Complication After Open Carpal Tunnel Release. [PDF]
ABSTRACT We present a rare complication of open carpal tunnel release involving severe thermal injury to the motor branch of the ulnar nerve after a misplaced incision and blind electrocauterization of the lacerated ulnar artery. Accurate and precise anatomical knowledge is very important to safely perform this procedure.

Dynamic ultrasound revealed extensor pollicis brevis hypertrophy displacing second compartment tendons, suggesting a novel friction‐based mechanism for proximal intersection syndrome. This case highlights the role of dynamic sonography in identifying motion‐dependent tendon interactions underlying overuse‐related wrist pain.

High‐Resolution Ultrasound of Clinically Relevant Sensory Nerves of the Arm and the Forearm
Technological advancements in ultrasound systems, particularly the development of high‐ and ultra‐high‐frequency transducers, now allow for the detailed evaluation of sub‐millimetric sensory nerves in the upper limb, extending to their distal branches. This provides invaluable insights in patients with suspected neuropathies.
