Ultrasound Evaluation for Incomplete Carpal Tunnel Release

open access: yesHAND, 2020
Background: Ultrasound can provide evaluation of the anatomy of the carpal tunnel in a convenient, noninvasive office setting. This study is intended to determine the accuracy and diagnostic performance of ultrasound, used by surgeons, for the evaluation

Surgical ankylosis of the radioulnar joint to manage chronic medial coronoid disease in dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract In this small pilot study, we describe a new surgical technique, ankylosis of the radioulnar joint, in managing chronic persistent lameness in three dogs with medial coronoid disease. Computed tomography and arthroscopic elbow joint re‐evaluation were performed before surgical ankylosis of the radioulnar joint.

Case Series: Re‐Exploration Carpal Tunnel Surgery for Iatrogenic Median Nerve Injuries

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most prevalent peripheral nerve entrapment disorders of the upper limb worldwide, making carpal tunnel release (CTR) one of the most frequently performed procedures. While CTR is typically successful, a small but important subset of patients may experience failure of the initial surgery ...
