ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Recent work suggests that nerve excitability testing has diagnostic potential in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The diagnostic performance of nerve excitability across hand muscles is currently unknown. This study aimed to assess if muscles of the so‐called split hand (abductor pollicis brevis [APB], first dorsal ...

A cross‐sectional study among 656 Bangladeshi RMG workers found high 12‐month prevalence of lower back (39.5%), neck (33.5%), and ankle (33.5%) disorders. Female gender, prolonged sitting, overtime, and ergonomic risk (REBA) were significantly associated, highlighting urgent need for workplace ergonomic interventions.

Objective Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) can drastically impair one's ability to work and interferes with activities of daily living. We recently demonstrated that, in rodents, conditioning electrical stimulation (CES) delivered to the nerve 7 days prior to surgery imparts a conditioning lesion‐like effect by accelerating the rate of regeneration along ...

Hand and wrist configurations in patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome [PDF]
The association between hand and wrist configurations was investigated in this study. The hand and wrist dimensions of sixty patients with carpal tunnel syndrome and sixty healthy control subjects were measured using specific anatomical landmarks.

Dynamics of Nerve Conduction Studies in Patients With Guillain–Barré Syndrome
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims The value of electrodiagnostic subtyping of Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS) is still debated. This study aimed to determine the diagnostic yield, timing, and changes of the electrodiagnostic subtyping in patients with GBS in serial nerve conduction studies (NCS).

ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims The cross‐sectional area (CSA) of the median nerve (MN) is a key parameter for confirming carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) with ultrasound. This study evaluates the performance of a convolutional neural network (CNN) with a 2D U‐Net architecture for automated MN CSA segmentation in both healthy individuals and patients with CTS ...
