Comparative Study of Gas and Liquid Flow in Packed Beds Using Phase‐Contrast MRI

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This work presents applications of phase‐contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to investigate fluid flow fields and temperature in packed beds. Comparison of ethane (C2H6) gas flow with that of water flow is done at similar flow conditions. The temperature of water is also measured using MRI.

Asymptotic properties of cross‐classified sampling designs

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We investigate the family of cross‐classified sampling designs across an arbitrary number of dimensions. We introduce a variance decomposition that enables the derivation of general asymptotic properties for these designs and the development of straightforward and asymptotically unbiased variance estimators.

A Geometric Characterization of Steady Laminar Flow

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study the steady states of the Euler equations on the periodic channel or annulus. We show that if these flows are laminar (layered by closed non‐contractible streamlines which foliate the domain), then they must be either parallel or circular flows.

Stakeholder Divergence in Sustainability Materiality Assessments: Evidence From a European Corporate Group Under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines differences in stakeholders' perceptions of ESG issues in a European corporate group and their implications for double materiality assessment under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. Drawing on stakeholder theory, it analyses survey responses from 15 stakeholder groups and compares perceived ESG importance ...

A Code‐Invariant QSG–VGA Co‐Design Methodology for Compact CMOS Vector‐Sum Phase Shifters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, EarlyView.
A circuit‐level co‐design methodology for compact vector‐sum phase shifters is presented, combining a code‐invariant common‐gate variable‐gain amplifier (VGA) with a resistorless quadrature signal generator (QSG). By maintaining an almost constant input resistance, explicit resistors are eliminated from the QSG.
