Abstract The tomb KV40 in the Valley of the Kings in Western Thebes, Egypt, is the largest non-royal tomb in this area. It was first used in the 18th Dynasty (ca. Thutmose III–Amenhotep III, 1479–1352 BCE) and reused from the 22nd to the early 25th Dynasties (ca. 925–700 BCE).
