Linear prediction in cascade form

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1978
The autocorrelation and covariance methods of linear prediction are formulated in terms of an inverse digital filter in cascade form, rather than the traditional direct form, to allow pole locations in the system model to be readily estimated and constrained. Iterative solution of the corresponding nonlinear normal equations is described.

Multi-stage Cascaded Prediction

1999
Two-level predictors deliver highly accurate conditional branch prediction, indirect branch target prediction and value prediction. Accurate prediction enables speculative execution of instructions, a technique that increases instruction level parallelism. Unfortunately, the accuracy of a twolevel predictor is limited by the cost of the predictor table

Parameters Automatic Design of Predictive Cascaded Controllers

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992
Abstract Generalized Predictive control methods are now used as performant control laws in a lot of applications, providing good results in term of rapidity, disturbances and errors cancellations. But even if the polynomial version of G.P.C. enables to observe in frequential domains the stability of the resulting controlled system, there is up to now

Predicting Content Virality in Social Cascade

2013 IEEE International Conference on Green Computing and Communications and IEEE Internet of Things and IEEE Cyber, Physical and Social Computing, 2013
Predicting why and how certain content goes viral is attractive for many applications, such as viral marketing and social network applications, but is still a challenging task today. Existing prediction algorithms focus on predicting the content popularity without considering the timing. Those algorithms are based on information that may be uncommon or

Defect prediction for Cascading Style Sheets

Applied Soft Computing, 2016
Graphical abstractDisplay Omitted Testing is a crucial activity in software development. However exhaustive testing of a given software is impossible in practice because projects have serious time and budget limitations. Therefore, software testing teams need guidance about which modules they should focus on. Defect prediction techniques are useful for

Predicting Basketball Results Using Cascading Algorithm

Proceedings of the 2018 International Conference on Information Science and System, 2018
Anybody can guess the winners of a basket game. The question is how big the chances are in predicting the real winners. Relying only on the experts' experiences and intuition could not discover all the value and potential of the collected data. Driven by the increasing comprehensive data in sports datasets and data mining technique successfully used in

Cascade Generalized Predictive Control with constraints

2014 IEEE Workshop on Electronics, Computer and Applications, 2014
Cascade control is one of the most popular structures for process control as it is a special architecture for dealing with disturbances. However, the drawback of cascade control are obvious that primary controller and secondary controller should be tuned together, which influences each other.

Channel Prediction with Cascade AR Modeling

Advanced Int'l Conference on Telecommunications and Int'l Conference on Internet and Web Applications and Services (AICT-ICIW'06), 2006
Cascade autoregressive (AR) model with three parameters for any channel prediction order p is investigated. Although higher order AR model is better to get more precise future channel prediction profile, as the order of channel prediction goes higher, the number of channel prediction parameters we have to know is increased.

CPNSA: Cascade Prediction with Network Structure Attention

2021
Online social medias provide convenient platforms for information spread, which makes the social network structure plays important role on online information spread. Although online social network structure can be obtained easily, few researches use network structure information in the cascade of the resharing prediction task. In this paper, we propose
