The Capacitor Voltage Balancing of Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter
2019 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics (ICM), 2019The enhancing of the energy efficiency of the distribution AC systems under operating conditions within the framework of a FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission System). The concept is based on the using various types of power electronic controllers. In case of medium voltage applications most of the FACTS controllers are implemented on the multilevel ...

Asymmetrical transistor-clamped H-bridge cascaded multilevel inverter
2012 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2012This paper presents an asymmetrical cascaded multilevel inverter based on five-level transistor-clamped H-bridge power cell. Two-cell configuration with dc link voltage ratio of 4:1 is presented. The modulation method is based on the fundamental frequency switching. Analysis of the inverter output voltage and harmonics is presented.

Two-Stage Aviation Rectifier Based on Cascaded H-Bridge
2018 IEEE 27th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2018AC/DC converters are facing an increasing strict requirement on the conversion efficiency and power density with the development of More-Electric-Aircraft (MEA). In this paper, cascaded H-bridge topology is chosen as a fascinated candidate for front-end rectification topology for its superior in reducing the current harmonic, power loss, and EMI ...

2020 IEEE 21st Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics (COMPEL), 2020
This paper presents a resonant LLC DC/DC-converter supplied Cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) cell for the use in a Series Hybrid Cascaded H-Bridge (SH-CHB) converter. The SH-CHB converter, which consists of CHB-cells with a dv/dt-filter and series-connected Linear Power Amplifiers (LPA), is briefly introduced and the requirements for the CHB-cells are discussed.

Review of current control techniques for a cascaded H-Bridge STATCOM
2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2015This paper presents a comprehensive review of current control techniques suitable for a Cascade H-Bridge STATCOM. Particularly, four different approaches are evaluated in this work: a linear strategy using Proportional Integral controllers in the dq frame, an exact input/output linearization technique with Proportional-Resonant controllers, a multiband

Cascaded H-Bridge Based on Interleaved Full-Bridge Submodules
IECON 2025 – 51st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics SocietyThis paper presents a novel cascaded H-bridge converter based on interleaved full-bridge submodules, which offers significantly improved scalability in current ratings compared to traditional cascaded H-bridge configuration. The proposed design enables the use of low-cost, low-current power switches, reducing dependency on the larger and more expensive
