The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Diversity of cascading failure processes in electrical grids
Investigation of the cascading failure is of great importance to understanding wide-scale power outages in electrical grids. In the current literature, researchers mainly evaluate the severity of a cascading failure process based on assessing its final ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Analysis of Vulnerability on Weighted Power Networks under Line Breakdowns
Vulnerability is a major concern for power networks. Malicious attacks have the potential to trigger cascading failures and large blackouts. The robustness of power networks against line failure has been of interest in the past several years.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
