Gallium microalloying redirects interfacial reactions in low‐temperature Bi–Sn solders from Cu–Sn toward Cu–Ga intermetallic formation. The resulting Cu–Ga layer suppresses intermetallic growth during thermal aging, alters fracture pathways, and improves interfacial stability.

Case inflection and the functional indeterminacy of nouns: A cross-linguistic analysis. [PDF]
Prior research shows that languages balance syntactic complexityagainst morphological complexity. We explore this relationshipusing a new measure of syntactic complexity, functionalindeterminacy, which measures the aggregate uncertainty ofmapping from lexical items to syntactic function.

Cross-Linguistic Transfer Revisited: The Case of English and Persian
The present study sought to investigate the evidence for cross-linguistic transfer in a partial English immersion and non-immersion educational setting. To this end, a total of 145 first, third and fifth graders in a partial English immersion program and 95 students from the same grade levels in a non-immersion program were chosen.

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Instrumental prepositions and case: Contexts of occurrence and alternations with datives

Grammaticalization between Parallel Reduction and Meaning First
Grammaticalization is generally regarded as a cross-linguistically homogeneous phenomenon. The present paper takes as its starting point the two classical perspectives of Meillet and Gabelentz, which can be associated with the two more recent hypotheses ...
