Cash waqfs contributed to the stability of the Ottoman economy by lending to individuals and tradesmen for centuries in the Ottoman Empire at a certain borrowing rate. Cash waqfs, which ended their operations with the expansion of banks, are one of the institutions identified with the Ottoman State. This research has two aims.
