Study on Hydraulic Fracturing Initiation Pressure of Oriented Perforating
The current prediction model of hydraulic fracturing initiation pressure of directional well does not cover the combined effects of casing and cement sheath. In view of this, a new model of wellbore circumferential stress considering the combined effects

Detailed flow measurements in casing boundary layer of 429-meter-per-second-tip-speed two-stage fan [PDF]
Detailed flow measurements between all blade rows were taken in the outer 30 percent of passage height of a two stage fan. Tabulations of the detailed flow measurements are included.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Effect of Cementing Quality on Casing Failure in Horizontal Section of Shale Gas Well
The casing for shale gas well is subject to complicate forces. The inferior cementing quality will easily cause large stress concentration on the casing, which will lead to deformation failure.

Mechanisms and Applications of Casing Running Mechanics in CCUS Extended‐Reach Horizontal Wells
In this paper, the research on casing running is analyzed. By analyzing the stress and deformation of casing string with centralizer, the calculation model of friction, bending and centralizer pointing force in the process of horizontal down‐hole running

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Analysis of the Influence of Cement Sheath Absence on Casing Strength Safety in Horizontal Well
The cement sheath absence in the horizontal well affects the strength and safety of the casing. To address the problem, considering the cement sheath absence position, thickness and angle, the finite element analysis method was used to establish the ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Bending Angle Design of the Variable Direction Joint for Directional Well Casing Recovery
Improper variable direction joint bending angle could lead to fish falling during directional well casing recovery. To address the issue, the variable direction joint bending angle should be designed according to the casing damage well curvature.Through ...
