Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Analysis of Collapsing Strength of Casing in Buildup Section Considering Bending Moment and Shear Influence

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2016
Casings in buildup section of horizontal wells are prone to safety accidents like rupture or collapse under the joint effect of bending, shear and extrusion load.In view of this,a mechanical model of casing in the buildup section is established according ...

Calculation and Analysis on Mechanical Properties of the Perforated Offshore Casing with Defects

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Perforation, a common well completion method in oil and gas exploitation, introduces structural defects in casings that alter their mechanical properties.

Finite Element Analysis on Stress of L80-1 Grade Casing under Complex Load

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2021
In order to study the collapsing strength of oil casing under the condition of nonuniform distributed ground stress, taking the L80-1 grade casing as the research object, this paper built a casing-cement sheath-formation system model, then, applied ...

Case history: more than a beauty case! [PDF]

open access: yesNetherlands Heart Journal, 2008
Case histories form a substantial element of the medical literature. However, due to their inherent anecdotal and observational nature, the description of an individual patient report is hardly considered to contribute to evidence-based medicine. For these reasons, some journals even exclude case histories from publication. Is this a good policy? In my

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Effect of casing treatment of overall performance of axial-flow transonic fan stage with pressure ratio of 1.75 and tip solidity of 1.5 [PDF]

open access: yes
The effect of a number of casing treatments on the overall performance of a 1.75-pressure-ratio, 423-m/sec-tip-speed fan stage was evaluated. The skewed slot configuration with short-open slots over the midportion of the rotor had a stall margin of 23.5 ...

New method used to fabricate light-weight heat exchanger for rocket motor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1964
A grooved capstrip, to straddle the metal edges of regenerative cooling channels, increases the strength and heat transfer characteristics of lightweight motor cases. This capstrip is so designed as to form a firm joint between the channels that form the

Study on Cement Sheath Integrity in Shale Formation Fracturing Process

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2017
To give a precise insight into the stress of cement sheath during multistage fracturing, based on the step-by-step finite element method, a finite element transient analysis model of casing-cement sheath-formation considering shale anisotropy has been ...

Influence of Fault Activation on Casing in Fracturing Operation

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2023
The large-scale implementation of multi-stage fracturing in horizontal wells often causes fault activation and slippage, and then results in casing deformation or damage. Finally, the numerical simulation method was used to analyze the mechanical ...
