Regionalism in the caspian: The Turkish model
This thesis analyzes the process of regionalism and argues that the theories in theliterature are not able to provide a path for the Caspian littorals to set their own ?region.? Themethod offered here is Turkey?s Three Stage Plan that focuses on sharing the waters of theEuphrates and Tigris with Syria and Iraq.

PIPELINE GAME IN THE CASPIAN REGION
The breakdown of the USSR was followed by appearance of new independent states on the Caspian for which the development of new hydrocarbon deposits and their export to foreign markets opened new horizons of development. This paper investigates the results of pipeline rivalry in the Caspian region that started after the USSR disintegration.

Geoid undulations and gravity anomalies over the Aral Sea, the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea from a combined GEOS-3/SEASAT/GEOSAT altimeter data set [PDF]
Satellite-based altimetric data taken by GOES-3, SEASAT, and GEOSAT over the Aral Sea, the Black Sea, and the Caspian Sea are analyzed and a least squares collocation technique is used to predict the geoid undulations on a 0.25x0.25 deg.
