A Grammatical Interpretation of Horadam Sequences
The Horadam sequence {Hn(a,b;p,q)}n⩾0 has been widely studied in combinatorics and number theory. In this paper, we find that the context-free grammar G={x→px+y,y→qx} can be used to generate Horadam sequences.

Abstract The first edition of the Ordnance Survey's 1:2500 County Series is marked with treed areas, such as woodlands and orchards, and, remarkably, freestanding trees. Consequently, it is an unparalleled source of information on the distribution of trees across Britain in the mid‐late nineteenth century, when the maps were first surveyed. In order to

ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full

On split r-Jacobsthal quaternions
In this paper we introduce a one-parameter generalization of the split Jacobsthal quaternions, namely the split r-Jacobsthal quaternions. We give a generating function, Binet formula for these numbers.

Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Paleontological data provide information on natural environments prior to human influence, which are useful for tracking changes in ecosystem functioning through time. During the Late Pleistocene, about 10% of terrestrial mammalian species were extinct in South America.

This study provides the first isotopic analysis of Oligocene mammals from Quebrada Fiera, Mendoza, Argentina, filling a major gap in South American paleontology. It reveals a latitudinal gradient in aridity due to the Andean rain shadow and highlights the role of (semi)permanent water bodies in sustaining diverse herbivore communities. Additionally, it

Q-Analogues of biperiodic fibonacci and lucas sedenions [PDF]
Quantum calculus has an important areas in many areas such as number theory, physics and mathematics. In this paper, by taking some useful notations from quantum calculus, we define the biperiodic Fibonacci and Lucas sedenions based on a q-parameter ...

Female‐Biased Sexual Size Dimorphism and Its Potential Causes in Hairy‐Winged Bats
Based on the integration of molecular genetics, traditional and geometric morphology, and acoustic characteristics of hairy‐winged bats (a species that was historically misclassified into two species due to extreme craniodental divergence between the sexes) in multiple regions of China, we quantified the sexual size dimorphism (SSD) between males and ...
