Optical surveying of casts for removable partial dentures
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1975The use of an optical surveyor for design of removable partial dentures has been described. Both optical and conventional surveyors are based on the same principles. The cast is illuminated by parallel light beams which are also parallel to the marker rod. The border of the bright and dark zones indicates the survey line.
