On the strong and $\Delta$-convergence theorems for total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings on CAT(0) space

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2013
In this paper, we give the strong and $\Delta$-convergence theorems of the modified $S$-iteration and the modified two-step iteration processes for total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings on a CAT(0) space.

Hyperbolic quasi-geodesics in CAT(0) spaces [PDF]

open access: yesGeometriae Dedicata, 2013
We prove that in CAT(0) spaces a quasi-geodesic is Morse if and only if it is contracting. Specifically, in our main theorem we prove that for $ $ a quasi-geodesic in a CAT(0) space X, the following four statements are equivalent: (i) $ $ is Morse, (ii) $ $ is (b,c)--contracting, (iii), $ $ is strongly contracting, and (iv) in every asymptotic cone

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

CAT(0) spaces with polynomial divergence of geodesics [PDF]

open access: yesGeometriae Dedicata, 2012
We construct a family of finite 2-complexes whose universal covers are CAT(0) and have polynomial divergence of desired degree. This answers a question of Gersten, namely whether such CAT(0) complexes exist.

Self‐Cascade Catalytic Reaction–Assisted Apoptosis/Calcicoptosis/Ferroptosis Induction with Microsphere‐Aggregated Hydrogels in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hyaluronic acid‐dopamine‐based intra‐crosslinked microsphere including cisplatin (HPC MS) is fabricated by spray‐drying and calcium/iron ions are introduced for interparticle crosslinking. Designed microsphere‐aggregated hydrogel (MAH) system including cisplatin/CaO2/FeSO4 can provide apoptosis/calcicoptosis/ferroptosis‐mediated chemo/cascade ...

Two Step Modified Ishikawa Iteration Scheme for Multi-Valued Mappings in CAT(0) Space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2013
The aim of this paper is to prove some strong convergence theorems for the modified Ishikawa iteration scheme involving quasi-nonexpansive multi-valued mappings in the framework of CAT(0) spaces.

Approximations of Fixed Points in the Hadamard Metric Space CATp(0)

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this paper, we consider the recently introduced C A T p ( 0 ) , where the comparison triangles belong to ℓ p , for p ≥ 2 . We first establish an inequality in these nonlinear metric spaces.

Numerical Reckoning Fixed Points in $CAT(0)$ Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2018
In this paper, first we use an example to show the efficiency of $M$ iteration process introduced by Ullah and Arshad [4] for approximating fixed points of Suzuki generalized nonexpansive mappings.

Boundaries of cocompact proper CAT(0) spaces

open access: yesTopology, 2007
AbstractA proper CAT(0) metric space X is cocompact if it has a compact generating domain with respect to its full isometry group. Any proper CAT(0) space, cocompact or not, has a compact metrizable boundary at infinity ∂∞X; indeed, up to homeomorphism, this boundary is arbitrary. However, cocompactness imposes restrictions on what the boundary can be.

Effects of Chemical Pressure on Superconductivity in Electrochemically Intercalated (TMA)yFe2(Se1−xSx)2 (TMA = Tetramethylammonium)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intercalation of a series of FeSe1−xSx host crystals with tetramethylammonium cations (TMA+) linearly scales the critical temperature Tc from 43 K down to 28 K with increasing sulfur incorporation. The chemical pressure induced by the partial substitution shows a weakening of the superconducting properties in both hosts and intercalates in a remarkably
