Stepanyan's star - A new eclipsing cataclysmic variable
High-speed photometry of the nova-like variable Stepanyan's star shows a 3-hr 48-min orbital period marked by a 2.2-mag eclipse which spans orbital phases 0.91-0.09. The uneclipsed light is variable by typically 0.15 mag on time scales of minutes to seconds and shows no obvious modulation with orbital phase. Intermediate-band colors show an enhancement

Soft X-Ray Observations of Cataclysmic Variable Stars [PDF]
HEAO-1 observations of a large number of cataclysmic variable stars demonstrated that most of these objects are not bright X-ray sources, even during their eruptive phases.HEAO-1 scanned about 20 dwarf novae while they were undergoing optical outbursts, yet soft X-ray emission (0.18-0.43 keV) was detected only from SS Cyg and U Gem. The 3σ upper limits

X-ray Sources and their Optical Counterparts in the Globular Cluster M4
We report on the Chandra X-ray Observatory ACIS-S3 imaging observation of the Galactic globular cluster M4 (NGC 6121). We detect 12 X-ray sources inside the core and 19 more within the cluster half-mass radius. The limiting luminosity of this observation

ABOUT THREE CATACLYSMIC VARIABLE STARS
In order to detect the new outbursts of the three cataclysmic variable TV Crv, NSV 1775, NSV 895, their positions was scanned on the plates of the Odessa collection of the sky service obtained for the period 1958 - 1988. The new outbursts were detected for stars TV Crv, NSV 1725.
