Assessing alternative strategies to control almond red leaf blotch through the reduction of Polystigma amygdalinum inoculum in leaf litter

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Cultural practices offer effective RLB disease management strategies. Urea application or removal of almond leaf litter reduces the primary inoculum of Polystigma amygdalinum. Abstract Background Red leaf blotch (RLB), caused by Polystigma amygdalinum, is a major foliar disease of almond trees in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions.

Exploring Green Software for Management: Tourism as an Emerging Research Field

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Green software has become increasingly relevant in the debate on sustainability, addressing the environmental impacts of digital technologies and their application in management. This study investigates the development of research on green software for management through a hybrid bibliometric and systematic approach, focusing on whether ...

On generalised catalan numbers

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1978
AbstractThe Catalan number Cn is defined to be 2nn(n+1). One of its occurrences is as the number of ways of bracketing a product of n+1 terms taken from a set with binary operation. In this note the corresponding result for a set with a k-ary operation is considered.

Raman of 2D‐MoS2: Disentangling the Metallic Phase Conundrum

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
2D‐MoS2 can suffer oxidation to MoO3 during Raman measurements, even under low‐power laser. We report a comprehensive Raman analysis of 1T‐MoS2 by investigating the impact of oxidizing (air) atmosphere, laser power, irradiation time, and temperature changes on the sample. The results might seem surprising, but they should not be.

A Criterion On Catalan′s Equation

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1995
Let \(p\) and \(q\) be odd primes and consider Catalan's equation \(x^p - y^q = 1\) in \(x,y,p,q \in \mathbb{N}\). Let \(p - 1 = dl\) where \(l\) is odd and \(d\) is a power of 2. Assume \(l > 1\). Put \(\zeta = e^{2 \pi i/p}\). Let \(g\) be a primitive root modulo \(p\) and \(m = g^k \text{mod} p\).

Optimizing the construction process: State‐of‐art, innovations, and potential benefits of temperature match curing

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract The temperature match curing (TMC) method significantly enhances the accuracy of concrete property assessments by replicating in situ curing conditions in test specimens. While this method has remained underutilized and relatively unknown in the industry due to its complexity, the advent of Internet of Things and wireless sensor technologies ...
